Seattle-based Curt Rosengren thinks so. He has experienced first-hand the difference between the hell-realm of an ill-fitting career and the ecstasy of a path that fits “just right.” As a Passion Catalyst™ Curt helps people find passion and clarity in their careers through one-on-one coaching, workshops, public speaking, and writing.
Rosengren’s articles appear in Worthwhile Magazine, a business/life magazine founded by two Wall Street Journal veterans. He has been mentioned as a career expert on CNN and quoted in articles in The Seattle Times, The Toronto Globe and Mail, and Monster.com. He has appeared in live in-studio interviews on Seattle’s Q13 Fox News, and has written career passion articles for online newsletters such as job.com and nettemps.com.
Rosengren maintains a career passion blog called The Occupational Adventure.
Rosengren’s Passion Catalyst™ work came from designing a framework with the tools he’d been using naturally, informally – and with no thought of getting paid for it – for years. His passion insights have come through reading his favorite books, inspiring clients, interviews with dozens of people who have successfully pursued their passions, and his own career transformation experience.
Rosengren has also contributed to several books on coaching and is considered to be quite unique in the way he systemetizes his approach. The reader feels like she or he is reading a true travel guide with such terms as journey, compass, gear, survival techniques, getting stuck, and even negotiating the battles of “foul weather.” His book has breadth, depth, complex theory (made simple) and a whole toolbox of techniques that help clients crack down, get busy, as well as play and nourish their truest essence, authentic self, biggest dreams and desires or what he calls, “passion core.”
This book is a must read for anyone wondering what a career coach might offer a client. It’s a wonderful “how to” book that helps each reader uncover a whole variety of passions while honing them down to a chosen few, the ones that can be tested with real-life experiments.
When he’s not catalyzing passion, Rosengren is exploring mountains in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere as an avid traveller and rock climber.
